Popular Workouts

About every three minutes some entity or person develops a new workout program or method. Naturally, these creations are almost always deemed “revolutionary,” “cutting edge,” etc. The oftenness in which the fitness landscape evolves is resemblant of the frequency in which young, talentless socialite’s in flagrante videos “mysteriously” get stolen by the paparazzi. It is dizzying. Needless to say, it is infeasible for any mere fitness writer—superhero or not—to illume every product, method, etc.

In this section I highlight the most “widely popular” workout programs and methods. For each, I offer a non-biased summary and my subjective overview. I have done, or actively do, a number of the courses in question; so, often I give my personal reviews as well.
